It's a quiet place, perfect for sleeping at night, far from all noises of pubs and clubs. The rooms are good, the place is very clean and the manager is so kind and helpful with the motorbike rental or the arrangement for the van to go to the airport. Thank you for all

Nothing really

The space is as it is in the photos. The Tierra bedroom which we got had a private bathroom inside the room. The place is quite isolated and quiet, no problem reaching town with a motorbike. Shared kitchen was okay for cooking meals. Staff are very helpful.

The room we got had a private bathroom inside the room however there was no water heater, and no shower curtain making the bathroom wet after a shower. The other bathrooms outside for the lower-tiered rooms had water heater. We used one of the outside bathrooms instead but the water heater is not adjustable, so the hot water was quite hot! Island living will really have bugs, but there were lots of ants crawling in our bedroom, which would bother us while we slept.

On a adoré notre séjour ici, ce n’est pas loin du tout du centre de General Luna (5 min en scooter), l’hôtel est propre et confortable, il y a même une cuisine si vous le souhaitez.

La salle de bain et les toilettes sont au rez de chaussée (mais individuel), ce n’est pas très gênant mais nous ne le savions pas avant d’arriver.

The place was great, the location is 5 mins by tuktuk to the city center of General Luna.

Our room was big and nicely decorated. Good WiFi. Calm area and just a few minutes bike ride away from town.

This was our final stop after an incredible month in the Philippines, and we had really been looking forward to it. Unfortunately, Secret Spot turned out to be the low point of our entire trip and left us with a very disappointing ending. We understand that encountering insects is common in Southeast Asia. We’ve seen some insects here and there in hotels and restaurants. However, we’ve never experienced anything like this: our bed was infested with ants, and there were multiple spiders on the floor. The staff offered to clean and spray insect repellent. They blamed the issue on the previous guest eating in the room and the weather—which was just the usual mix of sun and rain. Regardless, it's the staff’s responsibility to ensure that the room is properly cleaned and treated between guests, especially if food was left behind. I want to point out that the on-site staff we’re nice and did what they could to help us. It is up to the owner to decide in matters like this. The four nights we spent there were awful. We barely slept, constantly feeling like something was crawling on us. We kept finding insects on our stuff and bed throughout the stay. After the first night I got a rash on my stomach, which only went away after a few days of checking out. The bathroom was below standard, with an unpleasant odor. The photo on booking is of the ”nicer” bathroom. I wouldn’t call the bathroom private, as the sink area is shared with other guests. Also our bathroom door was left open several times and it wasn’t by us. If it’s private then nobody, including staff, should touch it without permission. There were dogs staying indoors that were constantly scratching themselves. This made the entire stay feel even more unhygienic and uncomfortable. It is not clear on bookings website that animals are staying inside. Every other place we stayed at during our trip—many at even lower prices—was far better.
