HS Beach House Phu Quoc Island

The inside of property itself is nice, although showing signs of ageing. But it was spacious and peaceful and has everything you need. The best thing about this place though were the staff. There is a young girl here who was particularly helpful, even getting up at 4:30am to help us check out. If you read this - thank you.

The location isn’t the easiest to get to and from as it’s down a hem (alley) which cars refused to go down. This meant walking down it at night, which could be tricky, navigating the usual debris found on streets in Vietnam left behind by the dogs and locals. But this is always going to be the case if you don’t stay in a managed resort.

the property is huge! way more than in the pictures, has stunning view and access to a private beach. All cooking and washing essentials along with lifejackets and gogals for swimming were provided. The host was a kind and friendly lady who let us check in early and checkout late. bonus: 2 cute cats in the premises! The property is any day better than a hotel room and I recommend everyone reading this to not think twice and book asap!

only the view is nice. The rest is terrible. The apartment was clean.

The neighborhood is terrible, very dirty and very ugly. the beach is terribly dirty, cows pee and defecate there. The water is warm but it is so terribly littered that you don't want to go in it. the lock on the door from the beach side could not be closed at all so you could not go out of the house to the beach, you had to go out from the very ugly area, that's a huge minus.

if you need to get a feel of how locals live on this island, this place gives a good idea about it. location is convenient with super market at a walking distance. beach front apartment but beach is not the cleanest.

one of the Ac was not running at its full capacity and Last day of check out there was no electricity from early am till the check out past noon, so it was boiling hot, kids were very impatient because no air conditioning and food got spoiled in refrigerator. owner should have arranged a generater or have it handy for such situations, especially when you running a home stay for family's and should compensate the guest for such service failure incidents.....

We were greeted by the hosts which was very helpful. The property is located down a maze of alleys so would have been impossible to find without their help! It was also very clean.

The location is not ideal. We were travelling with our two kids so didn’t have scooters. There are no food options anywhere nearby so be prepared for a 5 km walk to the tourist area to eat. There aren’t any taxis or grand around as it is located very much in the locals only area (which is great if you’re looking for authenticity). I didn’t realise when booking where it was located so just want to make sure other travellers are aware that if you want to be close to restaurants, cafes, etc. this isn’t the place for you!

We had a lovely stay at HS Beach House with our family of 4. We liked the spacious layout and laundry service offered. The neighbourhood was friendly and we felt like locals - it was much less touristy than other areas. We enjoyed the lively street atmosphere and vendors. The host frequently checked in and was helpful and we even got a midweek cleaning service that was very nice. It is sort of hidden down an alley which added to the adventure but we quickly caught on to how to get around. There are truly authentic restaurants right next door filled with locals that we never would have found or known about if we stayed somewhere else.

Some of the neighbours had dogs that barked and scared the kids but they were harmless.

Suong have been really helpful and kind. We really had a nice stay in this cozy apartment.
