Amoreira House

the hosts were very kind and friendly and would go out of their way to make you stay very enjoyable. wifi good, nice poncha bar serving excellent food a two minute walk away. lovely quiet location, with great views from the balcony of the ocean, mountains and ravine with birds of prey soaring past. well equipped kitchen and a washing machine/dryer. we look forward to returning to this apartment and meeting luis and his family again.

Very clean and very well equipped apartment with wonderful ocean and sunset view from the terrace, everything is practically new. The owner is simply amazing - he invited us for drinks and regularly brought us some fruits, always ready to help and share tips. We had really wonderful vacation because of hospitality of the owner. Free parking on street. Two minutes walk to great poncha bar. Five minutes drive to Calheta Beach. Twenty minutes drive to PR6 levada hikes.

Absolutely nothing

Luis is an amazing host (the best I have ever met during my travels), very friendly, helpful and attentive. He invited us for drinks when we arrived and he even brought us fresh fruits regularly. The apartment looks exactly like on the pics, it is nice, modern, very clean, very well equipped and you have a wonderful sunset view from the terasse. Free parking in front of the house. Location is perfect to discover the island.

This lovely apartment is really comfortable, with a well-equipped kitchen and a terrace that we loved so much, with a view on the ocean and sunset during the evenings! I can only recommend this stay. The owner is really nice, friendly, and welcoming. He can share really nice tips and make your stay the best it can be!

If I could give more than five stars, I would! My stay was truly exceptional, thanks to the incredible hospitality of Luis. From the moment I arrived, I was greeted with a warm smile and a genuine eagerness to ensure my stay was perfect in every way. Luis went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, providing thoughtful touches that made me feel at home immediately. Every detail was carefully attended to, from the spotless cleanliness of the space to the thoughtful amenities provided. Whenever I had a question or needed assistance, Luis was incredibly responsive and helpful, offering not just answers but also excellent recommendations that made my trip even more memorable. What really stood out to me was Luis's genuine kindness and attentiveness. He truly cared about my experience and was always available to ensure everything was perfect. It’s rare to find someone who is not only professional and efficient but also so warm and welcoming. Staying here was more than just a place to rest—it felt like visiting a friend. I can't recommend Luis highly enough and will definitely be returning in the future. If you're looking for a place where you'll be treated like family, this is it!

Absolutely nothing, everything was amazing.

The apartment was perfect for our few days in Calheta, it was so clean with a beautiful view from the balcony, its location is in a lovely quiet area and there is a really nice pub just 1 minute away, the owner Luis was so nice and helpful. The apartment has everything you need to enjoy a few days in Calheta with the beach just a 6 minute drive away. Idyllic

That we weren't staying a few more days as it was such a great location

We chose this place to explore the west part of the island and it was a perfect starting point for all the places we wanted to visit. Multiple famous Levadas are only 20 min away by car. Parking was available right in front of the apartment. The place was nice and tidy, everything is practically new. A big plus was the balcony with a lovely view where we enjoyed our dinners during sunset. Special thanks goes to the lovely Luis (owner), who is a really great guy!

This is a good property with a great value. Maybe you find others, but having someone like Luis is hard to find. You feel welcomed and like a close guest that comes in visit. Regarding parking, is on the road like most of the parking in Madeira Rooms are bigger than they look in the photos, usually it’s the other way around. There is a bar nearby and if you want to eat around, either a small hike or 5 min by car.

Perfect accommodation, spotless clean and spacious, wonderful view. On the top: the greatest host!!!
