Raquel is a great Receptionist. Very welcoming. Eclectic place with lots of cultural ephemera. There is honesty coffee available too. Room was spacious and well equipped with a comfortable bed. There was a place for a bicycle too.

Well maintained in character

The bed left much to be desired

Rui was an excellent host, welcoming us on arrival and explaining how things worked. The accommodation had tons of character all based around a central covered courtyard with tables and chairs - great for sitting with family and friends. As well as the places you stay in there’s a chapel, a music room, a pool room, a wine cellar and an honesty bar where you can get a cool drink or coffee. The accommodation managed to be compact and full of character - we booked two rooms, one with a double and two singles and a room with two bunk beds - the kids fell for the bunk beds instantly so that’s where we stayed. The kitchenette was more than adequate to cook small meals.

No fault of the accommodation and not a major criticism but the parking was a little lacking. This is due to the location in a fairly small town with fairly narrow roads - you can park outside the accommodation on the road - if there’s space.

Everything was perfect

One of the bests houses and hosts that we ever met during our trips. The wine cellar tour was an added bonus and the wine, oh my GOD, the most natural and tasty that we ever had.
