What a cozy, charming place that was. Due to a storm back home we had to reschedule our flights to portugal of one day and didnt want to change anything else so we decided to stay in between us leaving lisbon and going to portimao so this was a last minute booking but what a wonderful suprise this was. We were greeted by raquel and her beautiful smile. My portuguese is none 😀 but she didn' t mind. Our room had little kitchenette with the essential. We were situated on the higher level that had a little pool little tables and chairs and also a cozy spot with a big patio table surrounded with curtains and a bed to lay on and we did to watch the sunset with a glass of wine because the owner which we met next morning makes the most tastefull wine in his little wine cellar is name is Riu. What a charming person speaks french and english on top of that. He made us breakfast with Raquel cooking mmmmm fresh cheese pumpkin jam and tomato jam which Riu told us it is a staple in portuguese culture. After breakfast Riu took the time to show us how in made is wine in the old romain way.( wine is fermented in terra cota barrels) and we did some test tasting(It' s always noon somewhere) i had never drank wine without preservative i know why they live longer than us !! The wine was soo good. We only stayed one night but i promise Riu that i will be back. This village are surrounded by olive farm and wineries. With that kind of hospitality it makes a great start to a vacation❤️❤️❤️

The host, Rui, was great. He gave us a tour of his wine cellar, a real experience.
