Wonderful guest house in the center of Veligama. The most friendly hosts, to whom we have been visiting for more than the first time. The most beautiful sunrises and sunsets are visible from the balcony. A comfortable kitchen. Right next to the ocean, necessary shops, pharmacies, a large food store, a huge market. We will come again! With love 🫶

Beds were comfortable and staff was great

Beach is close but so are the fish stalls so not great for relaxing at the beach. Need to walk 10-15 minutes for a good beach spot

I had an amazing stay at Rusara's Guest Home and couldn’t be happier with the value for money I received. The place is run by a lovely family who are incredibly kind and go out of their way to make your stay comfortable. The owner was super helpful with every request I had—from arranging a bike rental in no time to ensuring I could extend my stay easily. When I needed an air-conditioned room, he immediately accommodated me without any hassle. The location is perfect: right on the main road in Weligama, just a quick 2-3 minute bike ride to all the surf schools and cool hangout spots. It’s a calm and peaceful spot, and you’re also just a short walk away from Domino’s Pizza and KFC if you’re looking for something quick to eat. The guesthouse offers multiple rooms and a shared kitchen with a stove and fridge, making it ideal for solo travelers or couples. It’s a very honest and down-to-earth place, and what makes it even better is knowing your stay supports a local family business. That personal touch really makes a difference. If I visit Weligama again, I’ll definitely stay here. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a comfortable, affordable, and welcoming place to stay.
