A bit noisy for me. There is a loudspeaker that goes on randomly during the day. no idea for what purpose, but a gathering of people was there

Great location in the hills overlooking the coast. We had a ground floor room with nice garden terrace. The room was comfortable and large with icy cold air con. There is also a modern tv set up which on request you can access many channels. Breakfast was good with eggs, toast fruit etc and us served at a time if your choice. To get to the town/beach you can either take a short Tuk Tuk ride, walk down the hill or take the 155 steps through the monastery. It is steep but only takes 5 minutes. Very friendly service

- The lady who owns the villas was absolutely amazing, such a friendly and funny person. She was the highlight of this accommodation. - Nice little escape from the chaos of the main road. - Good breakfast which the host will make at whatever time you need it. - Good AC. Good value for money, I would absolutely stay again!

- There was quite a lot of mosquitoes, and the mosquito net had some small holes which I think was letting them through.

Manori was our best host in Sri Lanka. She is such a happy and welcoming host and made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. We also booked a cooking class with her and learned how to make delicious curries. We had a wonderful time and would definitely come back.

Authentic mountain retreat: cozy, rustic room with air conditioning and a fridge, a stunning terrace overlooking the sea, and a warm family-run business by a lovely mother and son. The property features a beautiful garden and two adorable dogs. Special thanks to Manori for her amazing cooking class—it was an authentic experience, just like living and cooking with the locals. All our tuk-tuks made it up the hill! The only “downside” is the steep road to the property, but it’s absolutely worth it.

The villa itself is located on a hill, which means you need to be prepared for a fair amount of uphill climbing to get to the property. While the owner and her son were incredibly kind and welcoming, the accommodation did not meet the promises made to us. We booked a small room that was supposed to come with a TV, fridge, and air conditioning – none of which were available. This was quite disappointing. Additionally, the room was not cleaned during our stay, and the towels and bedding were not changed. There was no provision of drinking water, though you could buy some from the property. The lack of toiletries was also a surprise, as none were provided, so be sure to bring your own if you're planning to stay here. Sadly, I also woke up with bedbug bites, which made me question the cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was simple – eggs, bread, a couple of pieces of fruit, and tea or coffee. It was basic but decent enough to start the day.

Nice and clean rooms, everything worked well, host helped us with everything. Also nice dinner. Recommended.
