Cozy bedrooms at University City in Philadelphia

as an introvert I loved that I didn't see and be forced to interact with anyone else! The property is quiet and clean.

A perfectly decent place for a night or two. The hosts were kind and helpful—they quickly found and returned the headphones I‘d left behind.

Pretty basic but decent accommodation for a couple nights. Both the room and the neighbourhood felt relatively safe as a solo woman traveller. Comfy and clean room and good private bathroom.

Pictures didn't quite meet reality - much less 'cosy'/well decorated than advertised - but still had the essentials. Kitchen had nothing, no cutlery or cooking equipment, and felt pretty dirty and unusable overall but that's fine if you're not planning on using it.

Advertised as a hotel or an inn connected to the university, it is not. It is someone repurposed a 3-bedroom Philly apartment into rooms you can stay overnight, that's it. It was weird to realize I'm sharing the space with someone who I didn't know was going to be there, and it was a little threatening because it was just us 2 in the entire building, and nobody could come to help if there was criminal activity.

I have nothing but praise for this property and its owner/manager. He was easy to contact and entering the property and room was simple(though it’s definitely secure) It has been renovated and everything seems new, clean, and very sturdy. Though I only reserved a single room, it was spacious enough for one person, had a well lit and functioning bathroom and shower. The fan and/or air conditioning unit worked well and wasn’t noises.

It’s in a very residential neighborhood. If you’re looking to nip into a cafe or even pick up some groceries, the area will be a disappointment. However, I felt safe in the area and there was little street noise— a very nice thing when one hits the sheets.
