Super relaxing place that makes you feel at home. Didn’t want to leave. Very serene. Staff and the owners were very friendly and seemed very happy to be there as would anyone! Hope to go back for sure!

The amazing view, the breakfast food (including homemade bread), and the charming well-equipped property.

Stunning villa in a beautiful winery. The views, the staff, the wine, the breakfast, the room, the beds, the shower were all perfection. Great location if you are visiting the wineries. A truly spectacular stay that we will come back to when we revisit The Douro valley.

Three bedrooms/3 bathrooms, on the wine estate itself, lovely views, 10 minutes to local village for supper

Nothing of significance, fireplace needs guard, larger drainage tray by sink required - couldn’t prevent wood countertop getting wet

Perfect location to visit wineries! Amazing little villa with beautiful surroundings! Just out of this world amazing staff! The daily fresh bread and a fridge stock with breakfast items were certainly a highlight! All this on top of the wine produced at Monte Travesso!

We had a wonderful three night stay at Quinta do Monte Travesso. We drove to the winey by rental car and and arrived at the top of a mountain surrounded by beautiful vineyards and scenery. We were greeted by the wonderful hostess Edna who guided us on a tour of the winery and its history and, of course, wine tasting. Edna also introduced us to Douro Autentico where the owner/operator Paulo picked us up and took us for a four-hour tour around many small Douro Valley towns and this included a picnic lunch on a secluded mountain top with an great view and of course a wine/port tasting at another of Douro Valleys wonderful vineyards. We recommend Quinta do Monte Travesso and Douro Autentico for a truly authentic Douro Valley experience. - Vic and Idina

Views and placement in the middle of vineyard were spectacular.

Driving to it at night was a bit scary.

Fabulous quinta that had all the amenities you need, large private and fenced garden with its own pool, furniture and fabulous views over the vineyard. Fridge was well stocked and delicious fresh bread delivered daily. Staff were delightful and the wine tasting tour is a must do activity.

Edna and her colleagues were super kind and considerate and made sure everything is okay during our stay. The wine tasting was interesting and the swimming pool was very clean. Bread and food services were also good. Finally, the view was absolutely stunning.
