Excellent location and nice room.

No staff permanently onsite and attitude could be a bit casual.

Clean quiet. Babeel was excellent host. Nothing was too much trouble.

The house is right smack in centre of Galle Fort. You will be spoilt for choice for shopping , restaurants , gem shops , banks and money changes , supermarkets ect. Tuk Tuks readily available for a short ride around the areas. However because everywhere is walkable you won't need one. Galle Fort area is just up the road.

Spacious , lovely architecture open concept villa. At nights you can bring the electric shutters down for safety as there is an open courtyard. Otherwise no security issues. Note there are only 2 double rooms in the house therefore when booking both rooms you have the house common areas to yourself. Otherwise you can still use the whole house but you may be sharing the house with the other guest from the other room. The stand alone one studio unit which was under repair is just next door. So check on room arrangements before booking. The entrance of the house is on a narrow street. not much place to park a car or have your driver pick up immediately. The caretaker Nabi was in contact with us and came to check us in and help with our bags up the staircase. Rooms were clean and spacious. Towels and basics like shower wash, shampoo provided and a fridge, kettle - some coffee , tea, creamer in kitchen area. Plates /mugs/cups/wine glasses enough for 4 persons staying. Our only request was that the kitchen areas kept clean as the oven/stove -we could not use due to not being cleaned properly.

The location and the space was beautifully decorated

The bathroom was disgusting as well as the carpets and towels

Our 4 nights in Galle were a great ending to our month in Sri Lanka. The house is lovely, room is roomy and lovely as well. Can't beat the location. Wish we could have stayed longer.

All was great though a bit more absent host than we were used to in rest of trip. But mostly didn't like needing to leave.

We had the whole place to ourselves, a stunning historic building, very quiet even though it was set on the main. street. Great comfy beds and bedding, lovely clean room and bathroom.
