Villa Aroshina with cooking class

We had an incredible stay, so friendly and welcoming. The included breakfast was delicious

Mrs Aroshina the host is really sweet and her whole family..... made us feel home away from home and had an amazing cooking class..

We loved our stay at Villa Aroshina. Aroshina and her family are all really kind and welcoming. Aroshina made our stay very special and we loved talking to her. We highly recommend the cooking class, the food was really delicious! The room and facilities were great with good AC. The villa is well located, a short tuk tuk away from Galle Fort

Loved the fact it was a genuine family home and we were treated as family. Clean and very comfortable bed. I recommend doing the cooking course - just brilliant. Taken to train station at the end of our stay which was a lovely touch. Walkable to Galle fort too.

There was nothing to dislike about the villa.

Nice house with balkony to sit on and open kitchen in which we got an amazing cooking class. The room was nice and clean. Very nice and helpful family!

Can be noisy at night. Travellers must be aware that this is not the most luxurious accommodation but a chance to get to know local people, experience home made food, and so on. Unfortunately we couldn't make the cooking class because it starts at 4pm, which was a bit earlier than we expected.

We had a lovely two night stay at Villa Aroshina. It was super accommodation with lovely decoration. We had a clean and comfortable room with air conditioning and ceiling fan. It was lovely and quiet for a very good night's sleep. The shower was hot at all times of the day (which is a first in our trip!) Breakfast was freshly prepared and delicious. For those who love cooking, definitely book a cookery class in the outdoor kitchen. Aroshina was such a wonderful host with her hospitality. Always on hand to help or answer questions. Her kind husband took us to and from the hospital for some urgent medical treatment (thank you). The villa is situated close to the fort and only a few minutes by tuk tuk or bus from the main road. We also walked and it was around 20-25 minutes spending on your pace. Overall we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend Villa Aroshina. If we ever come back to Galle we will definitely stay there again.

Everything was good

Aroshina and Manju were such great hosts and couldn’t do enough for us. Extremely helpful and the food we had for dinner and breakfast was fantastic. We also got to see monkeys in the trees of the garden Good location and a beautiful home. Highly recommend this home stay

From the moment you arrive at the property you are made to feel welcome and part of the family. I received a warm welcome from Manju - when he met me at the railway station. I received another warm welcome from Aroshina, when I arrived at the homestay. Everything was kept spotlessly clean throughout my entire stay. The breakfast was incredible. Aroshina and Manju are extremely hard working people who run an excellent homestay. The accommodation is about a 20 minute walk from the centre.

Lovely warm family welcome, close enough to the fort area without the inflated costs. We didn't have enough time to experience Aroshina's cooking class but will next time we stay
