Villa Aroshina with cooking class

The staff were very friendly and welcomed us into their home. As mentioned on many reviews, they offer Tuk Tuks to the train station (on leaving the property) and collection from the station on arrival. They offer a good spread for breakfast :)

While we were aware the accommodation was further out from the city when booking, we decided to stay here due to the reviews. However upon arrival we realised it was quite far out for what we needed. Outside of getting Tuk Tuks from the family, we found that drivers struggled to find the property on google maps, which made journeys back quite difficult. We struggled with wifi during our stay, it cut out regularly (which could have just been isolated to our room).

Warm and friendly family that do everything to make your stay amazing. Very comfortable bed, good air conditioning and super fast wi fi. The villa is so close to all the tourist spots and very close to the fort. You’ll be entertained by the local monkey, (so much fun to watch). Great breakfast and coffee. You will have a comfortable stay and a very peaceful sleep at night. We booked two nights and stayed three.

Aroshina and her family were lovely and very helpful. The family do everything they can to make your home stay good. We did the cooking class that was very interesting and were shown how to prepare and cook Sri Lanka food after visiting the markets with her to choose our ingredients. We had lovely home cooked food with the family each evening. Room was clean with air con, a fan and mosquito net and always with hot water

room was small with the bed against the wall but this is a home stay and it was all ok.

We are a bunch of friends from Indian visiting Galle for Nye. We had a really good time at the place. She was a great host, helped us with travelling around and with amazing breakfast.

Extremely friendly hosts, they make you feel part of the family! They can tuk tuk you around and cook lovely meals for you. Highly recommended!

We felt like home at Aroshina and her family’s beautiful home. The house is located in a nice and quiet area about 15 to 20 minutes walking distance to the fort. Aroshina colourfully decorated the house with lots of love and we really liked all the beautiful exotic flowers and plants. The rooms including separate bathrooms are very well equipped (cupboards, hangers for clothes, table, chairs, van) and super clean. Dinner (on demand) and breakfast was just extraordinary! We can only warmly recommend this accomodation and would come back at any time! Thank you dear Aroshina for making us feel that comfortable!
