Villa Aroshina with cooking class

Aroshina and her husband were excellent hosts and we had a great stay. Her husband kindly picked us up from the bus stop and they prepared us milk tea after our long journey. Room had AC which was very welcome after a hot day wandering the city.

Aroshina and her family were so welcoming and gave us a wonderful Sri Lankan family experience during our 2 nights here. We also did a cooking class with Aroshina - the food was amazing and all made from scratch with fresh ingredients! Location was good as only about 5min tuk-tuk from Galle Fort & Cricket Ground.

Nothing - would recommend to anyone wanted to stay in Galle

Aroshina and her family are very lovely people and went out of their way to make my stay comfortable. The cooking class was delicious and Aroshina puts a lot of care into making a wonderful home stay. Her husband is always happy to take you around in his tuktuk (I paid a small fee at the end for this but I think you don’t have to) and they are very knowledgeable about all the things you can do in the area.

There were some bugs in the room but this is to be expected in Sri Lankan homes.

This was my first home stay and it did not disappoint. Aroshina and her family were so kind and accommodating, making me feel so comfortable. The location is close to Galle. They have a tuk tuk and were happy to offer lifts as needed. The cooking course was also well worth doing. We cooked an array of local dishes, even making our own coconut milk.

A wonderful and tasteful accommodation with AC and breakfast. The family is incredibly warm and helpful. Aroshina is an amazing cook and offers a hands-on cooking experience for just $30, where she’ll teach you how to combine a variety of flavors beautifully. The session lasts around three hours, and by the end, you’re treated to a table full of clay pots brimming with delicious curries, leaving you happily in a food coma!

Lovely cosy home stay with a welcoming family. The most comfortable bed, best tea and yummiest pancakes we had during our month in Sri Lanka. Don’t miss out on this place!

The family was really frendly. The owner took the time to drive is to the town to bye some srilankan spises and gifts. She made us srilankan tea and really tasty meals. We also took cooking class which was very fun for the whole family. The place is really nice decorated and the best bed. The room was climated and we could use the kitchen. We would come again and they have our recommendation.
