Close to Picton Town

Lovely comfortable beds, great location, wonderful communication! It was so good the first time, we decided to book in again on the way back to Christchurch. A nice refuge after a long drive, and a long ferry ride!

Not something "didn't like", but I did find the sheep next door quite amusing

The bedroom doors couldn’t close easily because the house has obviously been re-carpeted, but the doors don’t shut!! Also the toilet door couldn’t shut! There was a lack of towel racks too, so had to hang towels over the doors. Some bedroom stand-alone towel racks would have been good to have. Also, the oven door couldn’t close properly.

Rochelle, the hostess, was easy to communicate with and very accommodating of our needs. We were only meant to stay one night before we sailed across to Wellington, however, the severe weather cancelled all sailings for four days. We were able to rebook the home for the extra nights we needed. The home is beautifully presented with comfortable furnishings and large enough for a family. The kitchen, dining, and lounge are spacious and well equipped for entertaining in the home. The beds were warm and luxurious. There are two toilets and two showers in the home which we welcomed very much.

There was nothing that we didn't like

Location was as expected - we could walk around Picton comfortably, as we did not have transport. The location was quiet and close to the local supermarket.

The house was comfortable and attractively furnished. Tbe beds were warm and comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped with cooking and eating utensils. However, some expected items were missing e.g. salt and pepper and paper towels.
