Location - very central

The room hadn’t been cleaned properly, the carpets were stained and worn, a rug on the bed also had various stains. Around the shower was mould and flaking paint. The shower room smelt damp. When we asked for another room we were told it was fully booked and that they could only apologise.

breakfast is a joke it comes in a paper bag. it consists of an apple a croissant (no butter or jam) tea was the one supplied in the room so no fresh milk, a carton of poor orange juice and a breakfast bar it was more like a packed lunch for a five year old with low expectations. There is no aircon Also no bag drop so had to lug case round for full day

Good location and felt safe and secure by the locked gate and being staffed 24/7. Bed was comfortable and bedding was nice.

Even though it’s not stated that there would be amenities like a safe and a fridge at the price point you would expect this. I found our room to obviously not been cleaned eg; the sofa and carpet were both stained and had crumbs everywhere, there was mould in the bathroom that was fresh and mould painted over alongside cracks in the paint and a leak in the ceiling. The extractor fan was extremely loud. Our room was a basement room that we were told was one of the cool rooms, which it wasn’t and the fans provided were not adequate. It had a very small window which opened out onto a courtyard of a cafe so we were woken up by people having their breakfast and kept awake at night by staff. No obvious way of locking the door other than closing it and no obvious way of indicating do not disturb. We didn’t request for the room to not be cleaned and when we came back in the afternoon all that had been done was they changed the bin and tucked in the end of the toilet roll that was already there. We could hear everything from tv to footsteps from all neighbouring rooms so not a peaceful stay that we were hoping for.

The location was perfect, right in town centre. Nice, a bit quirky hotel. Pod coffee machine which was nice.
