Mike was extremely friendly The breakfast was great Location is fabulous - easy walk into central York & some great local places to eat

Wifi access in our particular room was patchy at best. Had to go outside to make phone calls etc Ventilation in the bathroom was poor in our room - no airflow

Mike is a kind and meticulous host, who pays attention to details that make the guests’ stay safe, comfortable and pleasant. Excellent full breakfast! Details like the daily room chocolates and mints by the front door add stars to the experience.

The breakfasts were great, the room was spacious and comfortable and well maintained. The host Mike was very informative and welcoming.

Me and my wife love the decor and the warmth of the rooms and the breakfast choices are fantastic.

Fantastic place to stay for any trip to the centre of York. Easily walkable and set in a great location on bishy road, which has fantastic, independent shops, restaurants and bars and brings back the feel good factor of the high street. The host was superb and the breakfast is a must for anybody who enjoys a english brekkie.

Good central location. Room well stocked with coffee/tea and toiletries. Friendly female host. Good breakfast with plenty of choices.

Male host quite intimidating through his aloofness - for this reason only, we wouldn’t go back.
