Loved the original features of the property. Beautiful original stained glass in the door & window surrounds. Courtyard area was very nice and we liked our ground floor accommodation which was very comfortable and nicely decorated.

There was nothing to dislike

"Comfortable and quiet guest house close to the centre of York."

Second time staying here and would definitely keep coming back! Great location, just a short walk into York city centre and on the corner of Bishopthorpe road which has nice bars, restaurants etc. Hosts are very friendly and helpful with good knowledge of the surrounding area. Breakfast (full English but other options are available) was lovely and prepared quickly.

The location is fantastic, only 10-15 mins of walk to city centre. There's a nearby Sainsbury local and multiple local restaurants, very convenient. The owner cooks great and classic British breakfast. Great experience.

Breakfast, location and the room were all ideal. Mike the host was attentive and very helpful and allowed us to leave our case there once we checked out until we picked it up later for our train ride home.

"Lovely stay."

The hotel was a beautiful old building with original features. Staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast choice and quality was amazing. Situated in a lovely area and just a short pleasant walk into the centre. Our room was small but very clean and newly decorated.

Nothing I would stay again.
