A Casa das Margaridas

Margarita was such a great host. The place was very comfortable and clean. It was easy to get to the city center by mass transit.

I needed help figuring out the key system. But host answered my call so it worked out.

Our host was very friendly and approachable providing lots of information and help. Room was fine. Not noisy, warm. She introduced us to other guests and it was great to chat with them, and share food if we wanted but no pressure to socalise if not wanted. Lots of space. Kitchen well stocked with equipment, everything we needed. Great views to the back and nice balcony to sit out on. Nice location once we found our way around, not too busy, near metro and a useful supermarket, easy to get to tourist sites and beach

Would have been even better if there was another toilet but it did not cause a problem such as waiting for too long, shower was great, lovely hot water, bathroom right next to our bedroom

Great hostess, very convenient location, nice and clean room, comfortable bed and pillows.

Sound proofing was far from ideal

The apartment is beautiful and cosy. There is common access to the kitchen and living room, with all the necessary facilities for dining, cooking and relaxing. The kitchen is fully equipped and, even if I had no time to cook, I was happy to be able to use the fridge and reheat some take out food. My room was comfortable and with a view of the street and a balcony. Even if the bathroom was shared with guests in two other rooms, I was lucky to have very nice and curteous house mates during my stay. The area is lovely, very close to the Metro and buses if needed, although Porto is easy (and very pleasant) to walk in. The sea is quite close too, as well as some beautiful parks. The host, Margarida, is a very attentive and nice person. She greeted me with a smile, even if I had a late check in. She was always available to help if needed (though I had no issues during my stay) or to offer advice. She gave me a lot of good recommendations for places to see or restaurants to try. I would stay at this place again. Obrigada, Margarida!

great space, nice common area, rooms super clean, balcony to smoke if you like it, super accomodating lady who rents it out.

One annoying thing is the city tax you have to pay.. keep in mind its something like 2 euros per person and it is only cash, which can be tricky if you've been paying by card the whole time.
