Mandalay

Beautiful light and airy room. Caroline has an eye for detail and your every need has been thought of. Spotlessly clean bedroom and bathroom. Large bed as twin with memory foam topper, very comfortable. Freshly baked scones with jam and cream added that extra touch. I had high hopes as so many plus marks. Our room provided views across farm lands so cows and donkeys could be seen from balcony. Lots of helpful information on places to visit and eat in email communications. Parking spaces available.

As raised with Caroline on leaving a day early (not even a part refund offered) - I had two sleepless nights as gentleman in room next to ours snored loudly and I could hear though the wall where our bedhead was. Even loud enough to hear over the TV, ear plugs provided unfortunately didn't help and we spent first night sleeping in bed the wrong way round, I craved a proper nights sleep in my own bed. Also, the long single lane track to property was problematic, as had to reverse the car three times on one journey back to property, and never sure what was coming round the many blind corners. At point of booking I didn't realise how rural Mandalay was.

There was really nothing to fault. The hosts were warm and welcoming. There if you needed them, but not intrusive. The room and bathroom were clean and spacious with everything you need. A lovely Cream Tea was provided in our room on arrival. It was one of the most relaxing places I have stayed.

My 2 important things when on holiday are the space to be VERY clean and NO noise, I am a light sleeper, this place had both and more. All toiletries you need, a nice view, the room is very new and fresh and it makes you feel good. Definitely coming back.

Everything, beautiful room in a house in a tiny Hamlet with great views all round. Caroline couldn't do enough for us to make our stay really enjoyable. Our second time here and we will definitely be back.
