Little Folly

Little Folly is in a perfect location to Ella, the hosts were incredibly welcoming and helpful, the hotel has a really lovely little rooftop area to chill out in the evening and it's incredibly peaceful. The room was clean with a terrace area to sit out on. Unfortunately during our stay it was heavily raining so didn't get to enjoy this but I can imagine it would be relaxing in the dry weather. The cake was amazing too!

The only reason I wouldn't give this hotel a 10 is that we had a room that had beautiful carved air vents but they didnt have any netting covering them meaning that there was room for mosquitos and bugs to enter easily. The beds do have mosquito nets over them and we escaped without a bite so may not be off-putting for most.

10/10. Great place to stay. The lodge room was large and very well decorated which gave it a really nice feel. There is a large decking at the front of the hotel with lots of seating space which is great to sit on. The staff are extremely polite and helpful. The place has a great atmosphere and it’s very close to the main bars and restaurants.

Very nice and quiet place near the center of Ella, we spent beautiful time discussing with Nwam and his family, always available and friendly Highly recommend to stay at this place!

Location was excellent,everything within walking distance. Very good rooms,excellent bed and great nights sleep. Spacious bathroom with good pressured hot shower. Chilled out vibe in the shared lounge with comfortable seating,fridge and music system for guests to relax and enjoy. All the team were extremely friendly and the Father and son team went out of their way to help us. Thank you for the detailed map and 14km hike through the tree plantations,waterfalls,amazing views,local village and the bonus was we didn’t see one tourist,only locals. Many thanks for the lift at 5.45am to the train station,greatly appreciated.

A coat of paint in the bathroom and A/C in the room Would put you to a solid 11 out of 10.

The Little Folly bamboo wood cabins are very cute & we slept very peacefully . The cabins are surrounded by lush beautiful spices & amazing plants & trees , it feels like being in the middle of a forest . The owner & staff were very attentive , knowledgeable & super friendly. The Sri Lankan curries were absolutely delicious as was the breakfast.

The rooms felt a bit damp & musty

Everything. There was nothing bad about the accomodation. We really liked it. The second day, we had a food poisening. From something we ate out of town. The staf really helped. Took care of us the night and day after. I really couldnt Imagine a beter host. Thank you so much❤️
