Villa Galla

Location

We were just one couple but booked the two bedroom apartment with private entrance and a terrace based on the fact that we wanted more space and a bathroom each. There was no private entrance - it is shared by all the rooms in the building. The terrace is also shared. Even more surprising was that the second bedroom was on a completely different floor with a separate locked door and so this was not in any sense “an apartment.” The living room/kitchen/bedroom was - in fact one small space - there was a sliding door which partitioned off the bed. The only storage space for clothes was a”wardrobe” in the kitchen space which was set into the wall and you had to be over 6 ft tall to reach the rail! Finally the bathroom only had a glass door which had some frosting but you could see through it which meant no privacy. We stayed but I would not have chosen to book it if it had been more accurately described.

Perfect location, just outside the old town. Ante gave us a great welcome and gave us choice of rooms. Mini fridge had complimentary water, juice, fruit etc. Beach towels provided. Landing has a basket of umbrellas. Plenty of towels. Excellent shower. Comfortable bed. Everything was just perfect. So looking forward to returning to Split and staying at Villa Galla.

Absolutely nothing.

The location was great. Close to the old town and easy to get to the port etc.

Although it has been updated, the couch etc is stained and there is mold starting in the shower. TV didn’t work well.

Very nice apartment, clean and well located, near the old town. It had all we need, including biscuits, drinks and fresh water, left by the owner, a fantastic person, who was waiting for us when we arrived and he was always asked if everything it's okay with us.

Very comfy big bed. Terrace was great. The hotel host was incredibly helpful and knowledgable, even drove with us in the car to find free parking. Lovely guy

Ante was there to welcome me on arrival and was friendly, helped me with my bags, explained about the accommodation and places of interest in Split. The room was a good size and very clean. Great location, close to everything and easy to get around. Ante was also there to say goodbye and help with my bags on departure, which I really appreciated. I would stay there again and recommend it to others.Thank you.

Everything! Ante is brilliant host. He did everything to make us feel like home. We enjoyed our time there.
