Cozy 1BR stay in Taupo Central

Good Location.

Be attracted by pet friendly but been told extra $40 before the trip. The owner/property manager asked us to leave immediately instead of changing the sheet where found dirty. $30 charged for nothing enjoying.

Very well maintained, clean and comfortable.

Wifi wouldn't connect.

Spacious, separate toilet room, good quiet location, friendly owners, bed was comfortable

Inadequate climate control (space heater but need to leave off when not there so return to cold house), hot tub not working, kitchenette was very minimal (only microwave and small fridge), difficult to wash dishes in small bathroom sink. Cost was high for value provided.

The double bed was comfortable, but not a King size as advertised.

The place was not so clean, and cockroaches and a white tail spider the refrigeraterator area.the photograph on your website bears little resemblance to the actual interior.²

Spa pool was excellent Birds sounds whilst relaxing 😊

Entry instructions were somewhat confusing, but luckily some neighbour was there and he assisted us to find the correct entrance. We would have to call our host to confirm if he wasn't there.

Booking was advertised with a fireplace, spa and free wifi. The spa had no cover and was cold, the wifi wasn’t working, the shower head was broken down so we had to hold it up to shower and there was a big crack in the door that lead to the spa letting in the coldest draft, My partner actually installs fires as his job and this fire was a serious hazard, but they had fire starters for it and the whole place stunk like smoke because the chimney wasn’t even installed properly. The house is also a 2 story split and the walls are so thin you could hear the people next door so clearly to the point we could hear their zippers and conversations.. and could hear footsteps from top story. When we confronted owners about this, we said we would be happy to stay the second night if the main things that were advertised were fixed (spa,wifi,shower) and if we would be able to have a discount for the first night as we didn’t get to used any of these amenities. They immediately told us that we need to find somewhere else to stay and there was no reasoning at all they were pretending not to speak English when we tried to reason. Pretty disappointed by the the whole experience was for my partners birthday and we had Traveled hours to stay to get kicked out even though we had been very polite about the whole situation. Would NOT! Recommend!
