Jungle Base Camp

It's kind of farm stay in the middle of fields and crops. Very friendly host, treated me just like family.. They serve food made from freshly plucked vegetables grown organically in their own kitchen garden. Fresh air, water and simple people with big heart. Wifi available.

It could help if wifi has backup. As it is situated in the middle of jungle, I recommend to carry insect repellers.

We had an amazing 5 days at Jungle base camp. Hukum could not do enough to make your our stay special. The enthusiasm from him and the rest of the Bardia team was incredible. Great value for money would highly recommend.

It was great staying at this place! The price was great - and for the guided walks in the jungle, too! We evend had nice big buckets of hot water for the shower. The food was delicious, the place is a little paradise, very spacious, with a nice garden and comfortable beds. Thank you so much!!

At Jungle Base Camp, you really plunge into the jungle. The cottages are tastefully decorated from the outside and is simply decorated from the inside. Hukum, his wife and his son, have their own house and green and flowery garden on the property as well. We really enjoyed sitting at our porch, enjoying breakfast in the morning. Hukum is also one of the chief jungle guide in Bardia, he can take you into the jungle to see the numerous wild animals (if you are lucky! 😊) during the day from dawn to dusk, highly recommend!

At the moment of our stay the hot shower was out of order. However we could get a bucket of hot water whenever we wanted, this we could use to shower. It actually added to the experience! I’m sure the hot shower will be fixed by now.

I had the best in Jungle base camp, the hospitality was really good and the activities were amazing. I went with Hukum in the walking safari and into the tree house and they were amazing experiences.

Had a great time at Jungle Base Camp with Hukum and his family! The lodge is basic but there is everything you need : fast internet, room with private bathroom, food is great, especially the chapatis, common area for chilling. Location is really close from the jungle and the park entrance! I had safari with Hukum during three days, we were really closed to see the tiger as we heard him roar in the bushes 30 meters from us, but You'll see plenty of other animals too! Hukum and his family were really helpful and did everything they can to help me. Special thanks to Hukum's son, 6yo, who made me play plenty of games at the lodge. Will come back for sure!

Hukum and his family have just been the best! Always ready to help and to make you feel at ease. If Hukum can not be your guide in the jungle, he will find for you the best guides to make you enjoy your adventure in the jungle ! The place is very nice and food very good 👍
