The Westminster Hotel

Lovely large bedroom with a garden view. Huge comfortable bed and really lovely big fluffy towels. Excellent cooked breakfast, cooked to order with a very good choice. Great location close to the centre of the town with a beautiful park on the doorstep.

The owner seemed very fed up running a hotel and didn't even wish us a good day when we settled up the bill! We had one hand wash at the bathroom sink but no other shower gel or shampoos. It felt more like a guest house than a hotel. There was only a small honesty bar in the lounge.

Cooked breakfast was ok.

For what felt like a tired boarding house it was overpriced. We were right on the top floor with lots of stairs, and I walk with a crutch. The bathroom was very small and pokey and the beds were dreadfully uncomfortable.

The hotel and surroundings are lovely and the staff were very hospitable! The full English breakfast was absolutely gorgeous! Thank you!

There was no shampoo and conditioner in the shower which would have been nice. A minor issue, though, but I expected there to be some as most hotels provide this.

Great location, you could just walk out into the park, and good value for money.

The shower was a bit weak, but it did the job. There were other things that needed minor repairs like the bathroom door not closing.

Location is brilliant

This is NOT a hotel it’s a B&B. Very short grumpy greeting room not cosy and welcoming as expected . We didn’t stay at the property due to this spoilt our weekend. i’d also emailed the property in advance and received NO reply not very friendly would NOT recommend pictures are NOT up to date.
