I stayed here for the last few nights of my trip and everything was perfect. The room was spacious, very clean, nicely decorated and I could even hear the waves of the ocean when I went to sleep. It's peaceful, quiet and located at a beautiful beach. You can have breakfast with your feet in the sand, directly by the ocean. The food as well as the cocktails were fantastic! Everything I had was absolutely delicious. But the best thing about my stay was how lovely, attentive and welcoming everyone was. You can really feel that Ursula & Geoffrey care about their guests and they make sure each guest has a great time. The whole staff is amazing, friendly and super attentive. They really make you feel at home! I will definitely come back!

My daughter and loved staying at Helwas Beach Hotel. Our stay there far exceeded our expectations! The hosts, Ursula and Jeffrey were incredibly welcoming, helpful and charming! The food - both breakfast & other meals were all prepared fresh, l and were exceptional. The complimentary breakfast was remarkable, including fresh juice & fruit, toast & homemade jam, and a main dish…all incredibly yummy! Our room was impeccably clean, large & lovely as well. It is about a 25 minute walk along the beach to Paje or a short TukTuk/ taxi ride. We highly recommend here.

Incredible property situated on a pristine beach with beauty and attention to detail running through the whole space. Great rooms which are very comfortable. Restaurant also offering a variety of dishes which were delicious!

Nur das Personal war nett. David, Antonio, Grace, Pascal waren wirklich sehr sehr nett!! Rest war eine Katastrophe!

Das Helwas Hotel und das Mayai Hotel wurden von einem Mann gekauft, das der Eingang im Mayai Hotel ist, ist nirgendwo ausgeschildert. Man fährt ins nirgendwo bis man herausriechen kann wo der Eingang tatsächlich ist. Wir hatten über 24 Stunden einen Stromausfall, bei dem kein Wasser ging, die Toiletten nicht mehr spülten und die Klimaanlage ausgefallen ist. Das führte dazu das es im Zimmer unerträglich heiß wurde und die Fäkalien in der Toilette im ganzen Raum stinkte. Die haben kein Solar und auch keinen weiteren Generator. Wenn da Strom ausfällt funktioniert nichts, auch nicht die Küche im Restaurant. Wir hatten für Sea View bezahlt und mussten dann das Zimmer wechseln weil der Strom dann angeblich funktioniert. Wir hatten einen downgrade und bekamen ein Zimmer neben einer Baustelle, in dem kein WIFI funktionierte, kein Strom und nur bedingt Wasser und das Bett schmutzig war. Wir haben nur einen Tag anteilig zurück erstattet bekommen nachdem wir dem Hotel über 10 Tage hinterher gelaufen sind und die uns unzählige Male angelogen haben.

Alle Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit . Sie haben uns ein Frühstück togo um 6 Uhr morgens vorbereitet, obwohl Frühstück erst ab 7:30 serviert wird. Pool und Strand sehr schön.

Es gab kein WLAN im Zimmer. Das Essen war so lala. Kein Fernseher im Zimmer. Keine Supermärkte in der Nähe. In den letzten 2 Tagen hatten wir kein Strom, wir müssten also bei der Wärme ohne Klimaanlage schlafen.

This is a very nice place, staffed by very nice people. It's well-maintained, clean, and the pool area is a great addition. It also offers an excellent breakfast. The breakfast consists of fresh fruit, and then your choice of mains. After a month in Africa it was so nice to have eggs that aren't overcooked.

It would be nice to have wifi in the rooms, but the wifi in the bar worked great and it was actually kind of nice to get my work done sitting at an outdoor bar facing the ocean.
