OK so this is truly a hidden gem in Cat Ba. Out of all the places we have stayed so far in Vietnam this was by far our favourite (and we did a 5-star Hà long Bay cruise so that's saying something 😂). Phuong, Dung and B are truly the best hosts anyone could ask for. Phuong was incredibly communicative and organised all our transport on the island and everything was absolutely perfect and stress free. The room was gorgeous - decorated with love and attention to detail. The air-conditioner worked amazingly, everything was clean and comfortable. The view of mountains and a beautiful lake from the room was spectacular! Phuong had beers and water available at the property and the breakfasts she made for us was some of the best food we have had in Vietnam so far - Phuong spent the time suggesting places in the area to visit and eat and explained so much about the Vietnamese culture that we couldn't have learnt without speaking with a local. B was her beautiful son and his presence truly made our stay very special. B is an incredibly smart and caring boy, who speaks the best English in his class and was an absolute treat to be around. He is also unofficially known as the "Uno master" so be prepared to lose your pride in a match or two!  Anything we needed Phuong was happy to organise or answer our questions about how to do it the best way! This place will have a special place in our hearts and we plan to return on our next trip to Vietnam! If you are looking for a truly amazing cultural experience with comfort and zero stress guaranteed then please don't miss out on staying with Phuong and her beautiful family! This place deserves all the stars! This is the place for you if you want a quiet retreat with cultural emersion and beautiful people!

Feng was such a kind and helpful host, helping me with bus bookings, motorbike rentals, laundry etc. nothing was too much trouble. Excellent fresh breakfasts each morning and lovely coffee. The location is very tranquil, by a lake but close enough to Catba town center (about 30 minute walk or 5 minutes by motorbike). Had a lovely stay at CornerCatBa.

our stay at Corner Catba was absolutely amazing. Pea and her family are incredibly helpful and caring. she prepared for us a different vietnamese breakfast everyday,all of them delicious and help us with everything we needed. the homestay is located in front of a lagoon,in a peaceful area so if you like a little bit of calm is the place to go. walking distance to restaurants and shops. honestly we felt so lucky at her homestay and hopefully we'll come back one day.

This place is nothing short of extraordinary and has officially become our favorite in Vietnam! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the warmth of the amazing people who work here. It truly felt like home. The owners went above and beyond to make our stay unforgettable—they were incredibly helpful and open-hearted, always ready to lend a hand. They assisted us with transportation and even rented us a scooter at a very small price, making everything so easy. The location is simply perfect, just a stone's throw from the city center, allowing us to explore with ease. Our room was a beautiful sanctuary, decorated with such care that it instantly made us feel at home. And the breakfasts? Absolutely divine—each bite was a treat! I can’t recommend this place enough! It’s a truly special gem that has captured our hearts. If you’re looking for a place that feels like a warm embrace, look no further. This is it!

Very quiet and calm place, comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts (different local dishes every morning!), and the hosts are soooo kind, friendly and cute, we’ll definitely miss them! Also there’s a nice trail going practically from the door, a huge plus
