Super friendly host and beautiful surrounding.

Phương and family was incredibly kind. The property is located down a quiet road and the rooms are large and clean. The food was amazing, huge portions! Don't forget to brush up on your uno skills to face UnoMaster Be!

Since we went on the Lan Ha Bay / Halong Bay Day Cruise, I wanted a place which was a little off the beach and in the interiors of Cat Ba. The property was exactly as advertised and was in a quiet, serene location with a backwater away from the commercialised aspects of the city (on the reclaimed beach front) while being situated about 2.5 km from the City Centre. There are only 3 rooms in the property, so it's not very crowded. What I really liked was the hospitality of our host, Phurong who was extremely proactive from the time we booked the hotel. She was the epitome of Vietnamese hospitality and the best host I have had in any homestay till date. She told us exactly where we needed to go, what we needed to avoid and put everything on my Google Maps (including over half a dozen restaurants). It is also better to book any rental bikes, bus tickets, cruise tickets through Phurong as it saves a lot of time and is at par with the market rates. The complimentary breakfast was amazing with a lot of exotic fruits on my plate. If I ever come to Cat Ba again, no matter what my budget is, I will book my stay at Cat Ba Corner. If you're still having second thoughts about this property, I say go for it. I have been where you are and am glad I decided to stay at Corner Cat Ba and wouldn't change a thing.

Phuong was an exceptional hostess who took care of all our activity and travel needs with loads of friendliness. Breakfast was a treat every time. We loved the quietness and tranquility of the location. Close to town but away from the hustle and bustle. It was very helpful being able to communicate in English with Phuong. Most highly recommended!!!

Very warm welcome, the tour they arrange was amazing. Best coffee ever we had in Vietnam. Very helpful also with the transfer to Ninh Binh.

The best hosts we have met in Vietnam! Se welcoming, friendly and helpful. We are going to miss them and their cozy homestay. The room was super clean, the location was perfect and peaceful. After spending one night in a hotel in the town it was like we moved to paradise. Breakfast was homemade and delicious. They also helped us book tours and bus tickets. Can’t recommend enough!

Everything was nice

The location is perfect, situated just outside of Cat Ba, a perfect retreat to relax after a long day exploring. We were given a very warm welcome, had nice talks and received many local tipps for tours and restaurants. Very recomendable!

A quiet three rooms homestay in a quiet alley just outside Cat Ba Town, in a local setting. The host, Phuong, and her family are simply amazing and take exceptional care of the guests. They told us to feel like at home and we really did. You'll get advice and help with anything you may need. Breakfast is true Vietnamese cuisine, so be ready for a taste adventure: sticky rice, pumpkin porridge, bao or banh mi with Vietnamese coffee. There's a decent beach 15 minutes' walk away.

It would be nice to add more comfortable seats outside, like recliner chairs. Wasn't a problem though.
