Corner CatBa is one of those exceptional places you wish you could give a rating higher than 10! We loved the beauty and tranquility of the location, and the comfort of our room. Phương and her husband were extraordinarily kind and friendly, and went out of their way to make sure we had the best possible stay at all times!

The property is located in a beautiful place with view of the lake. It was so quiet and peaceful and the owner was so kind, we really felt like home. She cooked us amazing Vietnamese breakfast everyday. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone coming to cat ba

The host is really lovely and friendly. She will help you with anything you need, including booking tours, buses, where to visit and eat. You can rent a scooter as well. The rooms are very nice and clean. The location is just outside of town and next to a small lake, so very peaceful. You can rent the scooter to drive into town for food.

The stay at phongs homestay was already a lovely recommendation from a friend. And we are although absolutely in love with it! Phong is a super friendly and lovely host. The room is absolutely clean and very huge. The view in the morning in the lagoon is priceless. The own bathroom has everything you need, especially towels. The food is delicious, every morning we got a special vietnamese breakfast! It was gorgeous! Phong helped us with all our day tours (which was amazing) and gave us a easy Rider. And of course she helped us with our next trip to Ha Giang with the organization. She was there at all times and we could come to her with any questions. She helped wherever she could. All in all a wonderful stay at Phongs homestay in CornerCatBa.

This family took a rent free room in my hart now for ever. They were so sweet to me. Invited me to the beach with them and to dinner in their home where they cooked a delicious meal for me. She also did my laundry and arranged my tours and taxis. Renting their scooter was super cheap.

That I had to leave again

We had a lovely stay here! Phuong and her family are so kind. Amazing (and different) vietnamese breakfasts that we loved. The location was perfect for us, peaceful away from the busy town but we could walk there in about half an hour. With a scooter it would only be a few minutes. Loved the big glass doors so you had an amazing view right outside

Nothing- everything was perfect! I suppose for a shorter stay in Cat Ba consider if being further from all the main restaurants is what you want.

Our host Phuong was absolutely amazing. We really enjoyed getting to know her and her family. They took amazing care of us, cooking a different vietnamese dish for breakfast every day (so delicious!) and making recommendations on what to do and where to eat. The homestay is beautiful, comfy and peaceful. It's away from the noise but an easy walk into Cat Ba town. Thank you Phuong! We really hope we can visit you again x

Everything was amazing.

It was the best homestay of my 2-month trip to Southeast Asia. Thanh Phong is a wonderful host, she speaks perfect English and looks after you wonderfully and gives perfect information. The room was clean and there was a lovingly prepared surprise and fruit for breakfast every day. I would have loved to stay longer. Thank you for your hospitality

Phuong is the most helpful host! She makes you feel at home right away and supports with everything you need, e.g. booking trips or tips for your stay on cat ba. The rooms are nice and clean with a stunning view and the location is good. The accommodation is just outside the city, but you can rent a scooter to get around the island.
