"A wonderful throwback in time."

A room with flair. Very interesting bath with a view over the ocean. A house, that is 106 years old. Something really special. An exceptional friendly host.

"Very comfortable for one night in an original period property with friendly host."

A very warm welcome from Rodger with a tour of the property. The breakfast room has excellent views over the garden, town and sea. We had come for the penguin viewing and while the property is up a steep hillside, it was less than 20 minutes' walk in a very safe environment. We could help ourselves to tea and coffee at anytime and the continental breakfast was generous.

It was a wet day when we arrived so the room was a little cold when we got back from the penguins but Rodger supplies several good heaters to warm the place up.
