GBThe location was perfect.1min drive from.ferry. large parking area in front of cottage. Very old world but to be expected in old property. The host Charlotte supplied an excellent breakfast which covered everything from yogurt to full English. Ideal for those with walking difficulties.
Going for a meal in Douglas Hotel and surrounded by dogs while eating. I have asthma and dog fur is a trigger..I didn't expect dogs in an expensive resturant..No complaints about food.

GBI thought Charlotte was helpful and pleasant and the location was good.
Strathwhillan House is in dire need of modernisation and investment. Lights not working, poor TV options and just the general decor of the House is not good. There is a sign up apologising for the inconvenience to customers while the renovations works are carried out but I saw no evidence of any workmen activity during our 4 night stay.
GBThe property is brilliantly located near the ferry port at Brodick. You can easily walk down hill to the town centre in about five minutes. There you can find a lovely beach and a few shops as well as the Douglas hotel bar and restaurant.
Although the service from the host was very good, I’m sorry to say that the room we had smelled of damp and was not very clean. There were cobwebs hanging from the ceiling and slug trails across the floor. The bed was also very uncomfortable as it had a lump all down the centre of the bed
AUThe location was good if you were coming off the ferry. If you are walking, it's a bit of a steep walk. The breakfast was good with lots of variety
The lighting in the room was poor . It would have been good to have instructions for the TV. The pillows need to be replaced.
