El Árbol de la Vida

Honestly I was a bit surprised but I slept really well in the bed!! My backpain was almost gone when I woke up. I liked the shared spaces and the rooftop (I've met very cool people there and had a great time with them). Surprised too but one of the few places I've been to in Mexico with hot water. The hostel is near the ecopark, there is an awesome taco place and great bar with pool not far, bike rental too (5/10min walking) a store for food, drinks, tobacco at 20m. They agreed to keep my backpack after I checked out, and to take a break when I came back to retrieve it. Really nice people!

My "room" had a strong humidity smell, lots of holes between the wood plank, some openings without windows nor mosquito nets (there's a hook above the bed so you can install one if you have), just "curtains". I slept with mosquito repellent so it was fine.

A peacefull place, not in the centre but still close to everything, a lot od outdoor space to gang out outside of room....

.. ...they need to clean up some used building material ...and ioutdoor will shine again

staff were super friendly, great location and comfy bed

toilets and showers weren't the cleanest and women's toilet lost its seat whilst we were there. we were also kept awake at 1am by people talking directly outside our room.

No cover in the bed and during the night it was so so cold

The design of the hostel is beautiful, decked out with bright colours and mayan decorations. The location is perfect, right by the lagoons and bars and only 10 mins from the bus station. We never had problems with wi-fi and the staff very kindly let us keep our bags in a spare room while we were waiting for our bus. Thanks!

There is no AC in the rooms, just 2 fans. They are good when it’s not swelteringly got though!

Very close to the public beach

Very dark room which was noisy as there are no real doors. There were also a lot of moskitos! The beds are very small
