SeaGate Bungalows

The Place was amazing. Great value for money. The room has a sea view, it is very quiet, comfortable, clean and you have a fridge, desk and drinking water in the room. Wifi works well and I could work and take online meetings with no problem. The food prepared at the restaurant is some of the best I have eaten in Indonesia. Because of Ramadan food options needed to be arranged in advance but the host cooked for us during lunch also because on the island there would have been very limited options otherwise. The best thing is the reef right in front of the property that is basically your backyard. Beautiful snorkeling you can stay in the water for hours. They arranged for us a pick up and drop off at the ferry port and also a scooter rental at a reasonable price.

Nothing to complain! The hosts are doing their best to make you feel comfortable. It is a family business so this should be the expectation. We are definitely coming back if we are in the area again.

Borja and Jujun are amazing hosts. They do everything to fulfill the guests wishes. They arranged everthing, from transport from the airport to the ferry and from the island port to accommodation, island & snorkeling/ dolphin tours. They are working hard to make the accommodation even better then it already is (building new bungalows) in a eco friendly way. The bungalows are spotless, spacious, comfortable, very clean with hot shower and good wifi. Nice view over the bay for your morning coffee, at high tide the sea is a few steps away for snorkeling. Set menu is good quality with good variation if you stay a couple of days. If you like to stay in a remote place, this is the place to be!

The absolute best place to stay on Palau Weh.😊 If you can get in and want a truly memorable experience this is your place. Yuyun and Borja are the perfect hosts nothing is too much trouble, they booked us on a fantastic tour and everything they recommend was amazing. Yuyun is a great cook and the restaurant has a fantastic view as do the rooms.

Everything about this place is perfect. This is my dream accommodation in a dream location. There is nothing I can add that hasn't already been said by other reviewers. Thank you so much Borja and Yunyun.

The hosts, Jujun and Borja are very kind and helpful persons. At the end, it was a bit sad to say goodbye to them. The room was very comfortable, we had everything what we needed. It has a big terrace, big enogh to do yoga or just relax comfortably. Their kitchen is very good, breakfast and dinner are available, but they also made lunch for us the day when we arrived and was very hungry. There are just a few bungalows, it's really cosy and private.

Sometimes the sea is quite loud because it's really close to the rooms (other times this is the beauty of it :-)

Borja and Yuyun are excellent hosts that offers you the warmest welcome that you can imagine. They are very kind and help you with any and every question you might have about the place and the island. Every single item in the rooms were well thought. Room was very clean. Having a mini fridge, boiler in the room was great to have. Location is fantastic as it's a bit remote in the island which offers you a calm place to relax. Having the ocean right beneath you is remarkable. Food in the restaurant which is running as a side business, "La Boca Chica", was a great surprise for us as it really exceeded our expectations for taste and variety. We were not comfortable to ride scooter and Borja was kind enough to give us a practice session which shows how far they are willing to go for helping their guests!

"What could have been better?" was the last question we had and the answer was "Honestly, nothing". Everything was great.

Breakfast was cooked fresh everyday with home made bread, fresh fruit and freshly made juice. Great Coffee.

Borja and Yuyun are wonderful hosts in their homestay. Located on a tropical rocky beach that has abundant coral, fish life and visiting turtles. Comfortable rooms and bedding, clean bathroom facilities with quality tapware. It's a great place to unwind, to be mesmerised by the hordes of magical local butterflies in the garden, or to rock off to sleep to the gentle sounds of waves on the veranda hammock or lounge. With great local knowledge, recommendations for food and local highlights and help to make transport arrangements... Paradise 💫

Borja asked what they could do to improve the experience of staying at their homestay, I mentioned that to Borja that bedside lamps would have added a useful amenity at night. He informed me that they were ordered and hadn't been delivered yet. This is a couple who want you to feel comfortable!

Amazing service, beautifull views from the rooms and restaurant. Very good value for money. Beautiful bathroom. We needed good internet for our work, and the owner really did everything in his power to make that happen. Also, we got a very good introduction to the island when checking in and they allowed us to check in early.

We booked two nights on Booking, and 4 directly with them. After day 3 I asked if we could leave 2 days earlier, and we will pay them 1 night for the trouble. Sounds to us like a fair deal, but they did not want to coorporate, even though they where not full those days. Futhermore: we accidentaly broke a glass, and they put it on the bill with a 0 behind it. Indicating we should be happy that they did not charge this. Same with the watershoos (they have them, everyone needs them, but somehow they don't place them near the water for guests to use, so everyone is having issues getting in and out the rocky water): I asked for it, but apparently its not something we should have taken for granted. It indicates how the owners are really on top of things: they like to know what time you have breakfast, if you have diner, how you experience all details etc. If you like that, its a great place. For us this 3 room guesthouse felt a bit too small. Also we felt a little rushed in the mornings, because their official breakfast ending time is 9.00am (!) allready. We could make it later, but it really felt quilty for letting them wait for us. Location wise: the views are amazing! You need a scooter to go to other places (to get food etc) as its located directly at a road, a little distance from the village. If you want to get romantic at night please bring your own warm lights, as there are only (very) bright white spots in the rooms. You have to obey their rules, or feel guilty. Allthough their intentions are certainly good, this place was not a good match with us. Still an 8 because all the effort they put into making it a good stay and because of the value for money.
