SeaGate Bungalows

Location and hosts are amazing!

The owners Yuyun and Borja see hundreds of tourists every year but have the gift of making everyone feel special. Location, facilities and food were excellent. Breakfast and dinner at La Boca Chica restaurant, which is part of SeaGate, were the best part of our day.

Everything! Perfect location, the rooms and bungalows are very tasteful and perfect view on the ocean. A hidden gem. Snorkel directly from the shore in front. You feel the love Borja and Yuyun put in their property and in taking care of their guests. They help you with everything. Best place we stayed during whole our Sumatra trip.

Can’t think of anything

Absolutely perfect place. Clean, comfortable room, amazing location right on the ocean, great food at the restaurant. And the owners are just brilliant - doing all they can to create a wonderfully relaxed vibe with noting too much trouble. Very highly recommended.

Absolutely nothing

We absolutely loved our stay at Seagate. The reef just in front is beautiful for snorkelling (it even has a couple of resident turtles!). Borja and Yunyun were so kind and helpful in organising transport around the island for us and recommending things to do. The food was delicious (and great for veggies). Only wished we could have stayed longer!

We had a great time at seagate bungalow, the bungalows are spacious, in excellent condition and with an amazing view. The bay is quiet and has a beautiful reef. Yunyun makes the best sambal I had in Indonesia, she’s a great chef and a lovely person! The same applies to Borja, they really make an effort to make your stay as best as possible. 10/10

Excellent location with fantastic snorkeling right in front of the bungalows! The hospitality from the hosts was outstanding. We had an incredible time and felt very welcomed, wishing we could have stayed longer.

Best place we’ve ever stayed, cannot recommend it highly enough! The beach 5 meters from the room has some of the best snorkeling we have ever tried. We even saw a sea turtle. Borja is extremely attentive and helpful, and will try to help you regardless of what you need. We stayed in both a deluxe room and later a bungalow. Both are amazing but the bungalow has a bit more privacy. It takes roughly 15 minutes by scooter to get to Gapang Beach where there are diving and freediving schools.

Very comfortable and you can’t beat being right on the water

Everything was great. Just be aware that you will need a scooter to get around.
