Excellent location, convenient for Alnwick. Nice rooms, comfortable with plenty of space.

It was not possible to open the bedroom windows and as a result the rooms were rather over-warm and stuffy. Even had it been possible to open the windows, large fans on the adjacent barn were very noisy. The wi-fi did not work in the upstairs TV lounge area (signal too weak). It would be nice if breakfast for guests was available earlier than 10 am, we had to miss breakfast as we needed an early start.

Lovely hosts who could not do enough for you. Comfy beds and lounge. Good parking.

Very dog friendly, food is excellent. We were made to feel so welcome.

The location was very close to Ellingham hall where my husband was attending a wedding. The bed was relatively comfortable and views out the back of the bedrooms was lovely. Dogs are welcomed and nice dog walk on site.

We booked before seeing other reviews on the flat being open to the cafe and this really didn't work for us. All rooms lead onto the open hallway. There were staff around until 7.20pm at least and we felt trapped in the living room until they left, particularly as my dog thought someone was in our house hearing noises downstairs. Even after 7 i wasn't really sure when staff had gone or not as the radio was on and lights were on downstairs. The entrance is shared with the staff and I was never sure if the front door was locked or not. Tv loses signal every 5mins for a few seconds - not a problem if your not in but annoying for me as I was sitting around all eve with dog and baby. No hot water in kitchen for washing up.

Lovely comfortable bedrooms and large sitting room to relax in. Owners were incredibly friendly and helpful with hints and tips for the local area

Description in booking doesn't state that their is a working cafe at the bottom of the staircase that everyone would have access to the apartment, bedrooms can be locked but still weird that the holiday apartment isn't cordoned off.

Comfy and lovely views and close to both Alnwick and Bamburgh castle which was our main reason for visiting.

Though it states that it is above a coffee shop, there is literally no door to separate where the staff are working downstairs and potential guests of the cafe. Whilst there are locks on the bedrooms which is nice, it still didn't feel private. We were also told we would have complete privacy from around 5pm but we could still hear people downstairs around 7ish. For one night it was fine but I wouldn't feel comfortable leaving items there for more than a night.

Property was full of character and rooms clean and comfortable.
