Rocking Chair Farmhouse

We were self catering, and did not wait for breakfast

DIRECTIONS! We spent 2 hours riding round and at one point were in a very distinctive property one field away from the farm, but the owner did not recognise our description. We were very tired having driven for 12 hours and would have appreciaated a warmer welcome. The kitchenette was onl adequate for toast, tea/coffee. the hot tap in the kitchen did not work at all 'because of limescale' and the cold tap had to be opened full to work at all. The clear expectation was that you would eat at the cafe which was adjoined - tough if it was shut

Excellent place to stay. All the rooms were bright and airy. Couches and chair extremely comfortable and the beds, well what can I say, I did not want to leave it. All the staff were extremely helpful. Big shout out to Andrew and his beautiful dogs, Excellent host, very friendly and approachable, couldn't do enough for us.

We didn't realise quite how remote it was. It was a beautiful location, extremely quiet, relaxing but if we are up in that part of the UK, we will know to buy in food for dinner before arriving, so we don't have to leave again later on.

Lovely setting, the perfect choice to stay at for a nearby wedding. Andrew the host was delightful and very helpful, and the food at the cafe was delicious.
