Both Andy and Jacki are amazing and accommodated all our special requests - even those at super short notice! I can't recommend them enough!! This is a wonderful cottage with the most comfortable beds!!! I would highly recommend! Hope to visit you again soon!

"If you wish to take a break from the city/busy life then this is the place for you."

That fact that the venue was a "little hidden gem" in the countryside. The homely/rustic feel to the property. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The fact that you can bring your dog to stay - free of additional cost. Finally to add, there is a wonderful little cafe attached to the property.

There is nothing that we didn't like.

very welcoming close to ellingham hall where we were at a wedding. cafe reasonably priced clean large beds huge bathroom bath and shower living room very cosy. small but adequate kitchen with everything you need. would definitely recommend.

What a lovely apartment in a proper rustic setting. Proper olde worlde atmosphere in a very old building. Andrew the host is a gentleman and the rest of the staff that run the cafe downstairs were lovely. The rooms were clean and the beds comfy. What more does anyone need. We loved interacting with the staff and the lovely dogs that made us feel welcome. The location was spot on too. Totally tranquil and yet 5 minutes from the A1 and a short drive to Alnwick Castle and Gardens. Breakfast in the cafe was fresh and delicious. My first Northumbrian breakfast. We intend to explore more of this North Eastern coastline and Rocking Horse farmhouse will make a perfect base to visit the various Castles and coastal villages from.

We were happy with every aspect of our short stay.

Andrew and all the team are so welcoming. There’s plenty of space in the accommodation and the breakfast was superb

It’s a great place to stay as a stopover on the way to Scotland
