Great location

Location Location Location. We felt like locals as opposed to tourists staying at Jose's apartment. We would get up in the morning, pop across to the market for fruit or salads, in the next street was a superb bakery for our bread and rolls, and our favourite Portugese supermarket, Pingo Dulce, was only across the main road. We were also central for most museums, restaurants and local's bars rather than the touristy bars of the hotel zone. As we were travelling by bus it was good to be close to the start point for most routes either local or further afield. This was useful on popular routes as the buses fill quickly and once to capacity do not take any further passengers enroute. Jose was a wonderful host, nothing was too much trouble and, on the one occasion we needed assistance, he was with us within fifteen minutes. The apartment was perfect for two, perhaps a bit too cozy for four. We loved the terrace where we could sit and watch the comings and goings of the mercado opposite. Talking of which, some reviews mentioned very early morning noise from the market and as a light sleeper I took some earplugs but the bedroom was at the rear of the building and was not disturbed once in the whole two weeks. If you were using the bed settee in the front room there would probably would some noise.

Everything was perfect, good arrangement before arrival, José welcomed us very kindly and was helpful in everything. The apartment is located near the center, perfect location, near bus stop, supermarket, good wifi, washing machine, balcony. Comfortable bed, I appreciate the separate mattresses. The apartment was modern and clean. We were very satisfied during our one-week stay. We can recommend.

everything was perfect

the property is very well located, close to everything you need (supermarket, restaurants, mercado, ocean, bus station). it has all the amenities you need for a week long stay and the balcony adds up to its value. everything clean.

we had the top floor apartment, complete with a lovely terrace with outside furniture. it is in the middle if town, but very quiet. The restaurant in the basement next door was also amazing.

Nothing, we had a wonderful stay.

The market can be noisy sometimes There is no free parking nearby (but check R. do Asp. Mota Freitas which is 10 minutes walk from the place)
