Apartment located in the center of Funchal. Close to public transport, shops and bars. The owner is very nice and helpful. He waited for us because we arrived very late, for which we are very grateful.

I liked everything. The apartment was as described.

Excellent location, perfect for us doing day trips using the buses. The host José was great and helpful. We also loved the terrace!

The accommodation has everything you need, and it was great for us, but not the greatest comfort.

What an amazing location and fabulous apartment it has everything you need. Close to all the attractions, supermarkets, airport transport and beaches. I highly recommend this property.

No breakfast included, location central though to local cafes and restaurants in area. Jose pleasant host.

In general good, it would be nice to have reception area.

Although the room was very clean and cooking facilities existed it was impossible to cook due to the smoke alarm constantly going off, so we stopped trying. The biggest problem was the web site did not adequately communicate that the rental was NOT and apt but a very small 13-14 square meter room with separate bathroom, which would be fine for one person. My wife and I had to walk sideways to get past each other. The website showed a sitting area with a sofa and a separate bedroom, which was not the case. We would have not booked this if we knew what we were booking.

The location of the property is 10/10. It is in the middle of all attractions and within easy reach of everything you need. It is located across the road from a great market in the old zone of Funcal which is full of charm and cute alley ways. The apartment was clean, tidy and had everything one could need for a holiday. The beds were comfortable and the apartment was quiet at night. The owner was super friendly and always contactable should we need anything. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here. Thank you!

Nothing. Everything was perfect.

We had a great 7 night stay at Agnelo Comfort in Funchal in September 2024. Few highlights: • The host, José - from the moment of booking to the actual stay, A+++ communication. José was beyond helpful and hospitable. Not only had he answered many questions we had ahead of our stay, he waited for our arrival at 1:00 in the morning (out flight was already landing late at night and then somewhat delayed), he helped us figure out car parking for our rental car (free overnight parking in blue spots until 8am - we found and recommend parking at "Parque de Estacionamento" - 10 min walk for parking piece of mind at affordable rates). José even supplied us with extra coffee (I mentioned we drink a lot of it) - we so appreciate having extra coffee pods to get over the jetlag. He told us if we needed anything to contact him, which was comforting as this was our first time to Madeira. • Apartment - located on the 2nd floor (2 flights of stairs up), studio / 1-room apartment, modern interior, efficient bathroom with walk-in glass door shower. The wardrobe is spacious with many hangers and multiple drawers. Kitchenette is efficient with microwave, plates, silverware, some pots and pans (we made a salad but didn't use the stove). • Balcony - we had coffee out here daily, listened to the fish & produce market & street life, we used the laundry rack to dry a load of laundry in the sun. • Location - for a 1st time visit to Madeira, this was a great location in the middle of fish/produce market action. We live in NYC and are used to the hustle & bustle outside of our windows, so the early morning start of loading and unloading for the market didn't bother us as we're used to noises. For those who aren't, we recommend earplugs. Supermarket 3 min walk. All of downtown is accessible within minutes walking. All the buses, the cable car, bars, restaurants, waterfront, buses, etc. minutes away on foot.

•Having the option to have 2 sets of keys would have been great - as we often come and go separately - so coordinating was a bit tricky. • Coffee mugs were quite large and didn't fit into the Nespresso machine so it was a bit awkward to get the coffee in them.

Brilliant location, easy access to everything.
