This was one of the worst stays I’ve experienced — not only because of the poor condition of the property, but also due to the host’s shockingly arrogant and unprofessional attitude. The house was dirty, with stained towels and no basic facilities — not even a mirror in the room. The back door wouldn’t close, which was a serious safety concern. There was only one toilet for the entire house, and the walls were so thin we could hear everything. However, the biggest issue was the host. Instead of showing basic hospitality, he acted with complete disregard for guests — dismissive, condescending, and entirely lacking in manners. Owning property does not entitle someone to treat paying guests with disdain. Hospitality requires empathy, respect, and professionalism — all of which were severely lacking here. For £110 a night, this was a deeply disappointing experience. I strongly urge future guests to look elsewhere.

Property was disgusting and not how is advertised! Property had mouse boxes all around property. Shared bathroom was covered in dirty razors and dirty hairs all around the bathroom. Shower was hanging into the wall (barley) with a rusted nail that looked like it could fall at any second. The whole house smelt of must and stale cigarettes even though it is stated that is a smoke free guest house! Place was absolutely dirty and nothing anywhere looked clean. Other guests knew what room we was all in, was rude and pushed past us to see what are room looked like without our permission! Taxi driver informed us that it was a house used for drugs. House felt so unsafe and unhygienic it was ridiculous! We had to send the owner a picture of my passport before he would even give us a key to the property and wouldn’t accept the booked reference and my name as confirmation! Me and my friends ended up leaving and sleeping in the train station as we felt that unsafe. We had people in the property we didn’t know knocking on our door after midnight asking if we wanted to go out even know we didn’t know who they was! I wouldn’t let my dog sleep in this disgusting place and wouldn’t advise anyone to stay. STAY AWAY AND BEWARE!!!!

Could do with some paint and maybe a picture on the wall ..ps saw a rat as soon as i looked out throu the window ...didnt want to keep clothes there so took them to my daughters and got changed there ..but did have a comfy nights sleep ..

Smelt a little

Absolutely nothing!

I arrived at the property late after working at the principality stadium. After sending the £100 deposit I was not sent any check in details, one of the other guests let me into the house while I continued to attempt to contact the host without success. A woman who lived in the property then seen me and let me into a room on the ground floor which I have to say was truly awful and lacked basic amenities- there were no curtains or blinds even on the windows. After about 30 minutes of being in this room other guests turned up who had booked the room and had the code to access it so I then had to leave and was stranded in Cardiff with nowhere to go. The short time I did spend in the room was that dirty, smelt of pets and felt as though I was itching after just 30 minutes on that bed. Would 100% not recommend this property to anyone. The property is also falsely advertised as having a dining area downstairs which is not true as this has also been turned into a bedroom. In all honesty, I’m not sure what a deposit was charged for as I find it hard to believe anyone could do anything to the rooms that would make them worse than they already are.

The price.

It is hard to get details for the key box, room number, and a code for the room. Could not get the key out of the key box. A person was in my friends room, which she had paid for. She had to sleep in our room, and my partner had to sleep on a small sofa. The blinds were damaged, and we had to pay a hundred pound deposit to cover in case of any damage. We took pictures straight away and sent it to them. We knew the reviews were bad. We just wanted somewhere to sleep, but it was way worse than we expected. Pay more it is not worth what we went through.

Location was the only good thing about this property

The worst place to stay imaginable - Do not book it unless you want to be scammed out of your money and sleep in filthy conditions.

I wasn’t actually allowed into the premises as it is now a house share where people are indeed paying rent????

Location was near Cardiff central

Uncleanliness, hassle trying to get access to property for weeks. Had to call booking.com to find out if it wasn’t a scam. Unclean room, broken blinds. Dirty mattress, people staying banging and shout at door. Just overall mess.
