Nice and cozy place.

Wasn’t to close to the center and beaches and there was a some spider webs in the room and bathroom.

For a plant lover this Guesthouse is a dream. The garden and surrounding native bush are glorious. Even the Guesthouse is full of plants. Unsurprisingly Carlee, the woman who owns the Guesthouse, is reknown as a plant lover. And there’s bird song, the bush is full of birds. Having only three rooms the Guesthouse is tiny. Its higgledy-piggledy layout is full of quirky collections of upcycled and recycled ‘stuff’ and the furniture has a very pre-loved vibe. A general feeling of gentle scruffiness and two resident cats it’s most definitely not pristine or upmarket, but it could not be more perfect for the first couple of nights of my NZ adventures.

Loved the character filled space. Beautiful view of the bush and lots of birdsong.

Everything was a bit far to walk to, but if I had a car or was more familiar with the bus system it would have helped.

Bed was super comfy, views were beautiful…had a very cozy vibe. Was nice to be away from the crowds after a day of touring the island.
