Minara Guest House

The room is located in a quiet area however really close to turtle beach and many restaurants. From the balcony, you have a beautiful view into the jungle and palm trees. The breakfast served is really delicious.

The bathroom is a bit smelly but still clean. As we’ve found out, many places have that problem in Sri Lanka.

We were in the ground floor and the room temperature was higher than outside despite the fan! The room was airless. I wouldn’t stay in that room one more night. The wifi sucks there as well:/

Good location, kind staff and also good breakfast. The room was spacious and clean, and you are in walking distance to a nice beach. Overall a pleasant experience!

Location was perfect for me in Mirissa, the bus stop is exactly near the guest house. Good size room, clean bed and towel. Stuff are always in touch and fast do everything what you ask. You can rent a scooter on the spot. Monkeys and another animals are around, very interesting to see them. Please, feed local dogs and cats, they are very pity((

My room was with a simple conditioner and was hot in the room.

The guesthouse is located behind the families home. It is off the main road (so away from street noise) but just accords the road from the beach - turtle bay (one of the nicest places to swim in our opinion). Our room was on the bottom floor and was very clean. Hot water and wifi worked well. Kumara and his family were super helpful and willing to assist with whatever we asked. Great value for money!

Our fan only had one speed, but they offered to change the room until they fixed it but we decided to stay where we were. Just to note - There is no signboard so it’s difficult to find the property. There are two entrances; one via a side street and one via the families home… it’s next door to the Ayurvedic clinic.

The size of room, cleanliness, and location were great. Good breakfast and lovely hosts
