Minara Guest House

we had a great stay in one of the top floor rooms. we ended up extending our stay another night because we liked the place so much. good breakfast, too. comfortable big bed. about a 10-15 minute walk to a free beach access.

Very friendly host, who provided us tuk-tuk and arranged whale-watching trip. Location was ok, close to Turtle Point beach and Coconut hill but path to it is not the best.

Room was very hot and humid.

I felt safe here, the friendliest, most welcoming family who will do anything to make your stay comfortable. They have their tuk tuk, which has good prices. Clean room, quieter area, close to beach, nice bed, beautiful garden! A memorable stay. Thank you for everything you did to make me happy.

During poya day, the celebrations over the speaker are a little loud at the window. But if that doesn't bother you, then great.

The room was very nice and clean. The terrace is very nice also, you can spend evenings there.

We had a great time at Minara Guest House, everything was simply perfect. Our host Sampath is a lovely and welcoming person! He even let us had breakfast earlier to help us respect our trip schedule! Room was clean and equipped with everything you may need! The breakfast was delicious and you can also enjoy the beautiful sunset from the accessible roof. The House is also located really close to the beach so you can simply walk there without the need of transportation! Absolutely recommended 😁👍🏼

The property is a little oasis situated just back from the main road set in a lovely jungle like garden which is both beautiful and tranquil. The owner was super helpful he lent us adapter plugs and an umbrella which we luckily didn’t need to use. The inclusive breakfast was delicious and one of the best we have had in Sri Lanka. The rooms were spacious and spotless with traditional four poster beds with Miskito nets. The property was very reasonably priced and we would highly recommend to others looking to stay I’m Marisa. The Highlight of our stay at the property was a visit from a family of monkeys who took a liking to the coconut the owner very kindly gave us which we had left on our balcony having drunk the refreshing coconut water.
