La Ciconella

Room was very clean and the Lady was very friendly. Perfect for a few days in Palermo. Perfect location near main train-station!

Location is by train and bus station, so gives ine easy access to all of Sicily.

We had to catch a 5:30 am train and this hotel is a stone's throw from the central train station. The room was very clean.

There was loud Street traffic but it quieted down about 11:00 pm.

The room was minimalist at first sight, but it was modern had almost everything you could hope for: clean room, comfortable bed, good lighting, air con/heater, TV, great shower and bathroom, toiletries, no outside noise... I arrived very late, but the staff made sure that I could get into my room with no problems.

The area was a bit dodgy, but this is quite common with areas around train stations. The benefit of this is that you can travel to many destinations by train after a couple of minutes´walk. I couldn't find any late night shops, but I may have missed them. Also, I didn't ask, so I may be wrong, but I couldn't find a way to access wifi.

The room was very clean and spacious. Italian streets are always busy, but the window in our room had good isolation, so we weren't disturbed by the noise. The central train station and bus terminal was in 2 minutes walking distance. The old city centre was easily accesible on foot and by public transport. The owner's cafe downstairs had excellent snacks (sandwiches and sweets) and coffee. The host was nice and helpful.

Free WiFi was only working in the cafe.

Lovely welcome by staff and amazing food in the cafe downstairs.

Please leave some glasses in the room and maybe a bottle of water.

It is very close to centrale station. A great place to stay for a night of privacy.

The room provides basic amenities but the bathroom does not have hand soap. The shower is quite small as well.
