Spacious room well located between the beach and the city center. The host is super friendly and very very helpful. He has plenty of recommendations how to explore the area, where to eat etc etc.

Close proximity to the train station, the room was spacious, clean and comfortable but our host, Jibu, is what really made our stay so wonderful - such a kind, welcoming, friendly man and very interesting to talk to. We booked late and Jibu had an appointment but he rushed back to the guesthouse to make sure it was clean and ready for us. When we left, my boyfriend forgot some of his clothes which had been drying outside but Jibu kept them safe for us and even met us at Alleppey station a few days later to drop them off. We were even treated to a complimentary massage by Jibu, a professional masseuse. We are very grateful to Jibu for arranging a canoeing trip through the backwaters of Allepey. We were picked up by a tuk tuk, taken to the ferry port, dropped off at a little village for a delicious breakfast, and later lunch, and taken on a canoe ride through the narrow canals which the larger houseboats can't fit through. A wonderful way to catch a glimpse of local life which we wouldn't have known how to arrange without Jibu. One of the highlights of our trip so far!

A few mosquitos outside so just make sure you wear bug spray if you are sitting out in the evening. Room was bug free though 🙂

Really helpful Host, chill location

The location of property was excellent, beach is near. The owner was relay nice. He arranged us one day trip canoeing and it was excellent excursion. Also he was very helpful when I needed to go to the hospital. He took me there and waited for me, helped me with translation, so it was everything easier with him. Jibu is really nice guy, always there is you need him for anything.

Nice quiet location in a house which had everything you needed for an absolute budget stay. Host was super kind and friendly, arranging an enjoyable canoe ride in the backwaters for very good value. He told us the prices we should expect to pay, and we even cancelled a shakira ride where we were paying over the odds for what we should have been. Recommend highly.

The mattress was a little hard for me (but that’s just my preference) and the aircon was perhaps not massively effective, although there was a fan and aircon.

Just to clarify, it's more like an AirBnb than anything else. A house with just 2 large rooms. One on the first floor with a terrace and one on the 2nd floor with a balcony. I had the balcony room and I really liked the superb privacy. You don't get that very often in India. Excellent bathroom. Everything was very clean. SUPERB and reliable WiFi. I could easily have stayed longer just because of that.

Some hick ups when it came to check in, even though I arrived right in the middle of the time frame, I had given them. The owner communicated very well over WhatsApp the day before, so the problems could easily have been avoided by sending over the WiFi code the day before. I do not have mobile internet, nor does my international SIM card work in this area.

Jibu is an amazing host. Had the best tips for my stay and went out of his way to make me feel comfortable.

The host was extremely helpful always available to contact with questions. He helped organize our Backwaters day trip. Couldn't of asked for more great value for money.
