"Exceptional"

This place is great as well as the hosts. They made us delicious food and the room they gave us was above expectations. We came here because the host is also a tour guide. The price for the tour was a bit on the high side, 7500 per person. However, this was a very budget tour for us and it was very well worth the price. Also, breakfast is included which was very nice.

"Perfect homestay close to the rainforest"

The Family is really nice. We had a Great time staying there. The food was amazing and everything was organized really well. I can totally recommend this accommodation.

"Nice host, basic rooms"

Very welcoming host and family. Donot get upset with first impression . Sometimes you may not feel very comfortable at beginning . But that is one of the best you can find in this difficult area. Basic small rooms. Climate is cool. No need of air conditioning

Aceess road is very difficult . Be careful . Very beginning we didnt feel comfortable because there were several peoples on premises with two tuk tuks

"Truly a gem!"

Truly the best place we’ve stayed in Sri Lanka. Kasun and Tamali are extremely friendly and welcoming and they took SUCH good care of us; breakfast and dinner were amazing, and they even brought us great snacks to take with us on the trek! Trekking with Kasun was also incredible, he knows the forest very well and will spot every hidden salamander on the way. This place is a gem! :)

"Exceptional"

Beautiful accomodation in the jungle. Very spacious (including a little living room with table, chairs and sofa), plus a great view of the river. The owner is a super guide (he will spot you a bug on a leaf and he knows his birds).

"Totally beautiful experience with a local family and amazing tour of the rainforest!"

We had the most wonderful stay at Rainforest River Bay. The room is on the top of the family home and surrounded by the rest of their family’s homes on the property. It’s such a special environment! Everything was incredibly clean and the family went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The food was amazing! The price is absolutely too low! Kasun the owner is a guide in Sinharaja and we had an amazing tour with him. He has an amazing eye and we saw an incredible number of birds and reptiles. I couldn’t recommend this place more. Thank you so much for having us!
