Head board was falling down off the wall. Big light in the room wasn’t working. Place smelled like black mold

I had read the reviews beforehand and was nervous, but it was honestly worse than expected. The sheets were fresh, but the first thing we noticed was a hair under the pillow. The smell in the hallway carpet was absolutely vile so bad it made my friend gag. The room itself also had a horrible lingering smell. The headboard fell off the bed, the bed bases looked like they’d been kicked in, and everything felt run down and grim. But the most disgusting thing by far was finding a sandwich down the side of the bed. That genuinely turned my stomach it doesn’t get much worse than that. I don’t mind budget or basic at all, but filthy is another story. The place felt crawling and unclean, and I felt itchy even thinking about it afterwards. Would not stay again. Truly grim
