Clean and right in front of the Cave Temple, nice and helpful family, good wifi as well, and ah, the food was so good, totally recommend it.

I actually liked this place a lot, but probably worth mentioning is that the meals are around 6$ (some might find it expensive, I don't know), but the food is so delicious, which is still worth it.

Everything was brilliant! Big rooms with very large beds, air con and fan. Breakfast and dinner were delicious. Ramia and the whole family were so friendly. Ramia organised tuk tuks for us to go to Pidurangala and Sigiriya at 4:30 with a delicious takeaway breakfast. A perfect place to stay in Dambulla and is also very well located.

It is an old-fashioned hotel. It lacks convenient modern facilities, but the owner's meticulous consideration more than makes up for it. The breakfast is served very carefully and tastes very good. If you don't mind a little inconvenience, you will be satisfied.

Nothing.

The family that run this homestay are really lovely and made me feel extremely welcome, thank you to them. Their home is spotless and the bed is really comfortable. I could have not been happier.

The only thing I didn't like was not having windows that opened, but everything else was great and there was only one socket in the room

"Awesome homestay, great location and wonderful hosts! Stay here, you will love it!"

10.0

What a beautiful homestay! We loved our hosts, the room was so spacious, with a lovely outside terrace and totally spotless. We were greeted with big smiles and a welcome drink. Breakfast was delicious and huge. Calm, peaceful environment. So close to the amazing cave temple and golden Buddha. Our host spent so much time giving us lots of helpful information and even walked us to the bus stop to help catch the right bus to Kandy. Dinner is also available upon request. I would highly recommend SA Village. What a lovely place to stay…we really enjoyed it and would happily stay again!

"Very welcoming hosts and superb value for money!"

10.0

The hosts were absolutely amazing! I felt very welcome from the moment I arrived until the time I checked out. They very kindly escorted me to the bus stop and made sure I caught the correct bus on the day of departure (their property is very conveniently located very close to the bus stop). Both breakfast and dinner were plentiful and very delicious and the room was immaculate. It’s by far the best and most competitively priced home stay I’ve ever booked. I have no hesitation in highly recommending this property to anyone visiting the area.

I liked everything about the property.

"If you are happy with basic room facilities then SA village is an excellent choice."

8.0

Location was excellent for visiting the caves. Bit over 2k into town if you want to go there. Breakfast was good. Hosts are lovely and Rajitha cooked a noodle meal for me first night. Asked for some hot water for tea and they provided a kettle for my room. A/C worked well. They arranged a Tuk Tuk for me to go to Sigiriya and put me on the bus back to Kandy at end of stay. Bus stop for temple caves is just near there house.

Having a review score of 9.5 and having spent the 2 previous nights in an excellent homestay in Kandy i was expecting the world. Was somewhat surprised by the facilities however. Small bathroom, too small to keep toilet paper in or it will get wet, Only a small block of soap for toiletries. Only one working international power point.. TV screen size of laptop. Thin walls to next room. Having said that I have now experienced a number of homestays and hotels with very similar facilities and SA village was the cheapest and most pleasant to stay at.
