SA Village

We had a great stay at SA Village. The room is comfortable and very close to the cave and golden temples. The food was very good and the host are so nice.

Really cosy. Felt welcomed like a family member. Helped me plan my two days stay, helped me get a driver who showed me around to the lake on the way to Sigiriya. Made home cooked breakfast and dinner which was delicious. Also helped me get a buss the next day to Kandy very fast. Helped with early check in. Super clean and the room had everything. You could see the monkeys from the bathroom window. Best AC I've ever had.

Not much to complain about. The wifi could be faster and the tv remote didn't have batteries but I didn't feel the need to use it that much.

perfectly located for Dambulla Cave temple, although there is little else in the vicinity, and they made us an evening meal which was delicious and a great price, they even had beer :))) great view from the balcony, the breakfast was lovely homemade coconut filled pancakes, really tasty.

The owner is amazingly kind and helpful! Being welcomed with some tea, you will find the guest house such a warm place already. The entire guest house is impeccably clean. The floor tiles are shining, I’m not exaggerating anything. Also their WiFi is great. Ask the owner the password! And food. I had both dinner and breakfast, and they were made in heaven. For each time, I first thought the potion was too large, but I somehow ended up eating all up - they were THAT good. Overall: 1,000,000/10. Can’t recommend enough.

The staff giving us travel information. The soap we were given to use in the room smelt fantastic 😆 Nice of them to give me a hairdryer to use without asking for it.

Couple of slightly strange ones -the staff told us they'll help us get onto an air conditioned bus to Kandy. We really appreciate the offered help, but the bus they told us to get on wasn't air conditioned and we had quite a bad experience on it -as we were leaving in the early morning for our half day out, we asked the owners daughter where we can buy water, and she handed us one saying "please". Once again, much appreciated, but it would have been nice to be told we'll be charged for it at the checkout (not a problem at all, but keeping people informed is nice). -whilst the location is really close to the Cave temples, it's actually not near the entrance where you can buy the entry tickets (we walked it not knowing where it is, but would probably recommend a tuktuk)

Too far not only to center but also a long walk from cave temple, better with tuk tuk to go there.

we hear shower and every noise / voice from neighbours bathroom . sound was really strong . in general we can Say that this was nice place . I Think soundproof walls can help owners :)
