Overall very good but: 1. The wi-fi did not work - we tried 3 different devices 2. The shower (Room No.5) was below an acceptable standard. Only at a very weak flow did it become tepid.

"A great break for a few days"

The owners were incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room suited us perfectly - comfy, clean and warm. Although it was just a room (but with tea, coffee, biscuits and bottles of water), there are numerous places to get breakfast in Stamford! Would visit Stamford and stay here again.

Graham, the owner, greeted me warmly at the agreed time. Even though the guesthouse is located on a busy road, you can hardly hear the traffic. Its proximity to Stamford city center is excellent. The room and shower were functional and perfectly fine. On the day of departure, I was allowed to leave my car there until noon, which was very helpful.

The room looked a bit like a black-and-white photograph with glitter—1980s chic with potential for a little more class and style. The Wi-Fi mentioned in the guest documentation did not appear in the list of available Wi-Fi networks.

The bed was soft and uncomfortable well past it’s sell by date didn’t sleep well at all due to the state of the bed. Very hot night no air con or fan couldn’t leave windows open as the window did not have any top openers on ground floor Toothpaste holder was dirty and the kettle had been left with water in
