Price/quality somewhat high

Very cozy and clean. The owner is very friendly and nice.

Our room had a great view over the mountains. There were power outlets and a little shelf right above the bed, so very convenient. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need along with tea and coffee.

The walls between the rooms are pretty thin, we could hear everything the couple in the other room was talking about. The only thing that might have made our stay better would be being able to check out a bit later like 11am instead of 10am as it was in most guesthouses we stayed at.

It was very clean. The mattress was quite comfortable. Access to the kitchen and the living room were much appreciated.

There was no breakfast. I could not open a link in an email sent to me prior to arrival. I wrote an email upon arrival to the woman in charge asking about breakfast. The answer to the question probably was in the link that was inaccessible. The email was never answered. They drain for the shower did not work appropriately.

I reserved the guest house for two nights for myself, a friend, and my 14 year old daughter. The cost was US$ 800. On the day we were to arrive, I could not find an email or any other communication from the property owner or Booking.com with the code to get into the house. I called the owner Stephanie's number numerous times throughout the day, and got no response. It was blowing snow and getting dark when we arrived at the guesthouse, and we had no place to sleep. I spoke to some Polish guys from across the street that work in the fish factory (Seems most of the town is Polish people working at the fish factory). These guys were eager to help and they made some phone calls but could not locate the owner. They searched all around the property for a hidden key but could not find one. I called Booking.com and they did not have the code to the house. Booking.com tried to contact the owner but they too got no response. Fortunately we were able to find a different hotel that night. But Booking.com, and Stephanie, the owner, refused to refund my money. I made more multiple calls to booking.com after I returned home from Iceland. Booking.com said that they could not refund my money, and that only Stephanie, the owner could refund me the money. They said that they had contacted Stephanie and she did not want to refund the money. They said that my only hope was to contact Stephanie myself and convince her to refund my money, but they warned me that I would almost certainly not be successful. I made more attempts to contact Stephanie directly, but she never responded. That is my experience with Stephanie. It is possible that I accidentally deleted the email that contained the code to the door. But Stephanie was not available to help me with this situation, responded to none of my many attempts to communicate, refused to refund my money when Booking.com asked her to, and refused to respond when I called her to ask for a refund. My advice is to spend your money elsewhere.

The owner of the house is just a funny, nice woman.

The house is old and has an unpleasant permanent smell. The bed sheets were never ironed. The environment is just nusty and gloomy, the only pleasant thing is the funny, nice franch woman.
